Generally, it takes anywhere from 30-90 minutes to film the property, depending on the size of the home, as well as if we are taking still photographs at the same time. Editing, production time, narration, compression, etc. take approximately 3-5 hours additional hours. We try and have your tour online within 24 hours if possible.
Why do video tours cost more than 360 degree virtual tours?
The time, labor and equipment involved is considerably more than what is needed for a typical virtual tour. Virtual tours are shot in a matter of minutes with a special 'mirror' lens, then the 'doughnut' photo is unwarped in a software program and turned into a virtual 'spin around tour'. Creating a virtual tour takes very little time - many 'scenes' can be produced in just a half hour!
Video tours take many hours to produce each 3-7 minute video, with editing, soundtrack, script writing and the recording of the narration. Also included is web video encoding, html coding, video compression in both QuickTime, Windows Media VIdeo as well as Flash formats and graphic design. In addition, we use high quality, licensed music on all tours, which generally run approximately $50 per track. The photo equipment, compression software and computer power necessary to produce high definition video costs nearly $7,000. Check on the web - most video tours run $500-$2000 and up for each tour!
Can we get a DVD copy for distribution?
Yes, a DVD copy of your tour is available for $25, which is playable in any DVD player or computer with a DVD drive.
