Lyndeborough is a town of approximately 1,600 residents, located in Southern New Hampshire, 90 minutes northwest of Boston, 30 minutes north of Nashua and just 40 minutes to Manchester, New Hampshire's largest city, and home to the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport. Lyndeborough is a rural bedroom community with no industry and little commerce.

Geographically, a ridge of mountains that are part of the Pack Monadnock Range divides the town.

Lyndeborough's major claim to fame is the former glass factory, which operated from 1866 to 1886. It made bottles of all sizes, mostly in a pale blue-green color, that are now prized by collectors. On the Mont Vernon border is Purgatory Falls, a spectacular chasm with 25-foot waterfalls.
