Top Search Engine Placement = More Eyeballs
Generally speaking (depending on your competition for keywords in your area), your Real Estate Video Tour will be visible on page one or two of the major search engines - usually within days (and sometimes even hours!). Your real estate videos are marketed and distributed on over a dozen various sites all over the web - all included in the cost of your video tour!
Additionally, Google's new Universal Search is randomly placing thumbnails next to video search results, attracting the eye FIRST, even before the #1 search result. And... you can play the full size video in the search results window! Since the fall of 2007, Yahoo and MSN "blended search" results will do the same.
THE MYTH: The most popular place consumers look for homes online is Realtor.com®
THE FACT: The most popular place consumers look for homes online is Google!
Realtor.com is the website owned by Move, Inc. and licensed by NAR to be their only authorized website. They claim to be the most popular Internet shopping site for homes. With an impressive 7 million page views monthly, Realtor.com claims to own the largest market share of Internet home buyers. The fact, however, is that Google has 65% of all search traffic and 85 billion searches a month, of which an estimated 13% are real-estate related. According to my research, Google receives about 870 million real estate searches a month. Based on these figures, clearly, the most popular place for Internet buyers to look for homes online is Google, not Realtor.com.
You need to tap in to Google and other major search engines.
What does that mean for you?
- More eyeballs on your listing. You can even see how many people view the tour
- A link directly to your personal website.
- Your listing, with your name and a link to your website - will be on page one or two of Google - usually in less than a week after posting. Sometimes multiple entries! Does your website rank that high currently? Probably not!
Can this happen with typical spin around 360 degree tours? NO.
Can this happen with your regular website? Probably not!
